Character Camp Critters and another Monday Kingdom Coffee Chat is here! This week, I am choosing to focus on the positives. Also you will be able to meet our Character Camp Critters! Bonus-we are meeting on actual Monday!! Before I forget, just so this is clear, this post may contain affiliate links. Which means if you purchase from one of these links I will receive a commission.
Let’s grab our cup of joe or tea to just sit and chat a bit.
How are you, friend? I am so glad you are here with me.
Did you have a great weekend of being productive or just a relaxing weekend of rest?
For me it was a weekend that was supposed to go in one direction but turned into a completely different one of being productive. So many check marks were made and I can’t wait to update you.
LA TIMES BOOK FESTIVAL UPDATES
I don’t know if you remember or not but I mentioned last week about being invited to the LA Times Book Festival where my Character Camp Book will be revealed!
I wanted to give you a first look at my Character Camp Book. Plus it’s always so fun to share the details with those who support us the most.
Each week I will introduce you to a new critter from Character Camp. There are 22 critters and you get to find out first how these cute little critters can make a BIG impact. Not only with your parenting but also your child’s life. I can say each one shaped me as a mom. These are the very traits I did my best to pass on to my kids. To make this fun, I have a challenge for you. I named 3 of the character camp critters after my own kiddos. Would love to hear when you figure them out!!
CHARACTER CAMP & PARENTING
I find it is so vital to focus on the positives with our children. There are enough negatives in the world. Often more than not with parenting, it is really easy to focus on what our kiddos are doing wrong or could be doing better. I am guilty of not pointing out all the good they do.
How amazing that God created each one of us to not only be together as a family, but we each have our own character traits, and gifts and talents. And this is my reason behind creating and sharing this book with you all. I want to take my triumphs as well as failures(because there is not one perfect parent out there) and pass it on to you. No matter how old your kiddos are…this book will help all ages…even those teenagers who think they know it all. (Don’t you just love the teen years?!)
This week you will meet Sheppy the Sheepdog and he teaches us about Sportsmanship. It is so important to be a good sport – not only in sports but even in relationships, work and trials.
Sheppy, and all the critters, help us to focus on God’s word and what He has to say about our character.
Our Time Is Almost Done
I don’t know about you, but my coffee cup is empty and yours looks empty as well. I am so thankful for this time with each other.
Don’t forget to subscribe to my newsletter, check out my YouTube channel and follow me on social media because I am always giving out goodies, sharing what I have learned (what not to do), and how to deepen your relationships both personally and with your kiddos.
Be sure to check out “Character Camp Critters” on Instagram, Sheppy can’t wait to see you this week!
Until next week friends pour a cup of coffee, take a moment to breathe, and remember that you too can make the ordinary extraordinary in the lives of those you love most.
